What Happens During a Tooth Extraction?

We will place gauze over the socket and ask you to bite down on it to promote clot formation. We also recommend using ice packs, resting, eating soft foods, taking any medications as instructed, and avoiding smoking or using straws. Additionally, brush and floss as usual but avoid the extraction site until it heals.
